  • The sentence on the stones: 'Sarcastic word that is implicitly spoken'

We define stone as a hard and solid substance that changes chemically or physically, which takes its color from the minerals, salts, and oxides in it. The stone that sometimes we stumble on, sometimes describing the place where it is located and can be a tool from time to time; also through history, has been transformed into tools that can sometimes work for protection or cause damage by human hands. Stone redefined many times in the language, ran through literature, and took on many metaphorical meanings. The concept of stone also points to a heavy, continuous, and repetitive social practice that does not leave a trace of the physical weight of the stone, since the times we stoned the Devil, the women, the enemy, and as societies have changed such as sarcasm, humiliation and if we look at today, lynching on social media.

I started to think about the stone based on its chemical structure and I was first interested in the ability to define its location, then I tried to relate the figurative meaning in the dictionary to how we process the stone and how we handle it; in other words, I wanted to dwell on the processing of the stone by humans. I also tried to remind the different meanings of the stone, which are defined through unrealistic ambitions and interpersonal relations, rather than just discussing the stone from a physical shaping focus. I transformed the chemical causes of the stone's existence into a three-dimensional sentence with the cause-effect relationship in our own movement areas.

The translation of the sentence on the sculpture; An insinuating remark said in an indirect way.
